I'm guessing if you are a BLW parent, you are one to be researching and making your own decisions about your baby. You are not one to just "go with the common flow because everyone else is doing it and has done it for years", but to do your own research and make your own decisions on what you feel is best for you and baby. So why take another BLW parents word on how to BLW, information can become misconstrued as it's passed along from mum to mum. All too often I her "Just give her what your having for dinner" and that is what is done. Well, I had a gin and tonic with my dinner, should I serve it up? (No, just kidding, I don’t drink alcohol) But my point is, I personally have never seen in the BLW book anything that says "Just dish up what your having", though I could have missed it. Instead it says "You can adapt your meals so that he can join in".
Yeah, I've mentioned this all before, but I decided to help parents out a bit more who can’t afford buying the book just yet (or don’t plan on it at all) and clarify exactly what is being said in Gill Rapleys book on BLW.
So while I may interpret it differently, the words are right there in the book for you to decide what is being said. And then you can make an informed decision on what first foods you want to give your baby. Rather than a decision based on other peoples knowledge (or lack of it). I don’t even suggest on taking my word for it. I just encourage mums to educate themselves rather than just following others. You just don’t know the direction they are going.
I have highlighted some points, but it's all good info.

Great points to "highlight." I love BLW -- it's the approach we took with our son. Fun and SO much easier than I ever thought.
